Infamy: raise the level and prepare for edicts

Start here
Check both measures in Court: Infamy tracks the wider escalation, while a boyar's Anger concerns that individual. Raising one is not a substitute for checking the other.

01Know what raises Infamy
The developer identifies crimes, discovered theft, quest decisions and attacks on Brencis's organization as inputs. Personal relationships are tracked separately, so Infamy is not a universal approval meter.
Bandai Namco specifically confirms that disrupting blood convoys undermines vampire business and raises Infamy.
02Pick an activity, then check Court again
For Where Loyalty Lies, reach Infamy IV, Notorious, then meet Sara in Svartrau.
- Hover a boyar's portrait to inspect Anger. Choose Ambrus's Cellars, Transports, Collectors or Prisoners, or a Soldier Camp.
- After Infamy II, Military Checkpoints and Soldier Pickets are further options. Camps and checkpoints each cost one hourglass; camps provoke less Anger.
- Complete the activity and inspect Court again. Angering and defeating a boyar also raises Infamy.
03Expect the next-day response
PowerPyx reports that a new edict is proclaimed the following in-game day. A filled meter need not change the streets immediately.
- I: More settlement patrols. II: Military checkpoints appear.
- III: Prices rise. IV: More road patrols; captains recognize Coen.
- V: Fewer people remain outside at night.
- VI: More checkpoints and another price increase.
- VII: Hunters appear; all soldiers recognize Coen.
- VIII: Soldiers become stronger.
- IX: Svartrau's gates close; night wall traversal remains an entry route.
04Prepare before deliberately escalating
We have not verified a way to lower Infamy. Do not base a route on the assumption that waiting will erase it. Use the current Court state and active quest requirement to decide the next action.
- Set a concrete goal, such as the Notorious requirement, and stop to review progress after each activity.
- Before the next proclamation, consider the consequences relevant to your route: prices, recognition and access may change.
- At a blocked gate or hostile checkpoint, inspect alternate access and your current night abilities before committing to another fight.
