Dawnwalker romance guide: choose a route and avoid the missed scenes

01Choose the guide that matches your quest log

Anca's route follows research from a haunted convent to the Font of Life and finishes with a conversation back at the inn. Lacra's route follows the search for Isbrand, then an optional expedition in The Night of Horrors. Crake's route leaves the rebels' investigation for the personal Distant Shadows and A Closer Look quests.

• Anca: open her guide if you are studying books, solving the lake clues or deciding what to do at the Font.
• Lacra: open her guide if you are investigating Svartrau's rooftops, following her into memories or choosing between her final two quests.
• Crake: open his guide if the Manumits want more infamy, Distant Shadows will not appear or Marat has left the hideout.

02Protect the scene before chasing an ending

The September guides distinguish a romance scene from a character's ending quest. Recording an intimate scene is therefore not proof of a particular epilogue. Keep those two goals separate when deciding what to pursue next.

• With Lacra, take The Night of Horrors before advancing Midnight Reckoning.
• With Crake, handle his personal follow-up as soon as it appears. Sources disagree about some entry conditions; his guide gives the recommended sequence and the uncertainty.
• With Anca, reserve the final inn conversation after the ruins. The Font's reward decision is a separate choice.

03Use the guide for decisions and the planner for your place

The official time FAQ describes a narrative clock advanced by particular actions, not by ordinary exploration alone. Check the hourglass cost before committing to a quest action; a quiet walk across the map and an offered time skip are different commitments.

04What the reported routes establish

This guide set was checked on September 14, 2026 against Polygon, PC Gamer, GamesRadar+ and direct PowerPyx task walkthroughs. It covers the three routes those publications document. It does not declare that no other relationship content can exist, invent a gift system or assign hidden affinity scores.

Dialogue details are folded into spoiler sections. Where reports disagree, the character guide gives a practical next action and identifies the disputed condition instead of treating a missing quest as proof that you chose incorrectly.
