For Esme's medicine, choose hot water, then add 3 spoonfuls of herbs. These are the two consecutive brewing choices in The Blood of Dawnwalker's Withering Away quest.
01Make the medicine
Get Anca's recipe during Withering Away, then return home to continue the medicine objective.
When asked about the water, select hot. Boiling and cold water do not match her instructions.
At the next prompt, choose 3 spoonfuls of herbs. The temperature and amount both belong to the same recipe.
02Read the note before brewing
Open Instructions From Anca in your inventory before entering the scene at home. After speaking with Pieter and reaching the brewing dialogue, you cannot reopen that note to check the quantities. The prompt appears near the end of Withering Away.
03Before you choose
This is a recipe puzzle with a correct result, rather than a cosmetic response. A save before returning home lets you revisit the alternate scene. Complete the medicine objective before the Blood Mass, then continue the prologue.
